Who Should Apply

Maryland residents interested in cultivating knowledge and skills to fight for transformative progress on their community's priorities

Broken systems made me skeptical that the people in the community would ever hold power and create change. Because of SUM’s training, I now think differently. Their teachings on understanding power structures and levels of change have taught me the ways that, when done strategically, the people can shift power and create change. Not only has the trainingtransformed my thinking, but also my actions.
